About The ROUSH Company |
It was Jack Roush's lifelong passion for hot rods, racing, and Mustangs that was the driving force in the 1995 creation of ROUSH Performance Products, a company offering an extensive line of aftermarket performance parts, vehicles and crate engines.
Bridging the gap between road and track, ROUSH Performance is in a unique position to seamlessly blend Roush's legendary racing successes with the formidable OEM engineering and manufacturing skills of ROUSH Industries and their nearly 2000 employees. ROUSH Performance is the first specialty-vehicle company to combine race-proven technologies with advanced automotive engineering. The result, a unique mix of street car and race car...Is a ROUSH car. Or more specifically, a ROUSH Mustang or F-150 pickup with styling, performance, and handling characteristics derived from the racetrack and modified for street legal usage.
The vehicles and components produced by ROUSH Performance are imprinted with Jack Roush's vision, passion for performance, and commitment to excellence. He personally approves the design, engineering, fit, finish and overall performance of each package, ensuring that his personal standards are met prior to production and product release. Many of these products are designed by the same engineering group that has helped Roush Racing become the winningest Ford racing team in history.
The ROUSHchargerTM, a supercharger system, could be viewed as a microcosm of the entire ROUSH Performance line. Due to the engineering and quality of the product, it is the industry’s only aftermarket supercharger that continues the factory drivetrain warranty on the car, and the only one to carry a full 3 year/36,000 mile warranty (see web site for details). In fact, when installed on a stock Ford Mustang on Spike TV’s "Horsepower TV" program, the hosts basically claimed that in more than 1000 television programs they have shot using thousands of products, "this is the best engineered product, the easiest install, and the most thoroughly written instruction manual we have ever used on the air." As technology and design continue to evolve, so does the ROUSH Performance line of vehicles, parts and crate engine offerings. ROUSH Performance Products is committed to leveraging the latest in automotive and motorsports technologies to continually provide our customers the ultimate driving experience - the perfect combination of race car and road car. |

About Jack Roush |
Jack Roush is always on the move. Wearing his trademark straw hat, Roush can usually be found at the racetrack walking through the NASCAR Nextel Cup garage area watching, learning, jotting down notes, and developing innovative new methods for improving on-track performance. Roush’s childhood fascination with all things mechanical has since grown into a lifelong passion for performance, and translated into a tremendous engineering and motorsports success story. Today, Roush serves as team owner and CEO of ROUSH Racing and is Chairman of the Board of ROUSH Enterprises, the parent company to ROUSH Racing, ROUSH Industries, ROUSH Performance and ROUSH Manufacturing. The ROUSH Enterprises family of companies employs more than 1,800 people in facilities throughout North America and Europe.
Roush first began his professional career in 1964 as an engineer for Ford Motor Company. He eventually left Ford to pursue his interest in engine development and motorsports. Roush formed Jack Roush Performance Engineering, a precursor of today’s Roush Industries, in 1976 and Roush Racing in 1988. Roush became the only professional drag racer to venture into NASCAR, SCCA Trans-Am, and IMSA road racing and sports car racing – with success in every series. ROUSH Racing, arguably the most visible of his companies, has claimed championships in the elite NASCAR Nextel Cup (formerly Winston Cup) level, as well as the Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series, making ROUSH Racing one of the few organizations to have captured titles on all three of NASCAR’s top divisions. With more than 300 wins to their credit, the organization runs five full-time NASCAR Nextel Cup teams with drivers Mark Martin, Jamie McMurray, Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards. Additionally, full and part-time teams participate in Busch Series and Craftsman Truck races. ROUSH Industries is a Tier One supplier of fully integrated engineering and development support services. ROUSH Performance effectively combines the engineering expertise of ROUSH Industries with the motorsports experience of ROUSH Racing to produce complete performance vehicles, modular engines and high-performance parts. ROUSH Manufacturing provides prototype and production parts, tooling and paint services.
Roush’s numerous educational and philanthropic activities include establishment of the Jack Roush Motorsports Scholarship fund at Clemson University, which is dedicated to supporting graduate and undergraduate students in their pursuit of motorsports-related degrees. Roush is also a member of the governing board of The Great Race, an annual vintage car road rally event. Jack Roush was born in 1942 in and grew up in Manchester, Ohio. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Physics from Berea College in Berea, Kentucky, and a Master's Degree in Scientific Mathematics from Eastern Michigan University. |
